About Lapwing

Lapwing is a 3D AI companion you talk to by voice, right in your browser. Its character is Maki, an anime-style companion who listens, answers out loud, and moves as she speaks. There is nothing to install. Lapwing is in closed beta at lapwing.live and is made by Sardor Nodirov.

Lapwing exists to make talking with an AI feel like meeting someone: a character who is present with you, listens, and answers out loud.

Our vision

We imagine a world where AI characters are companions you can meet as easily as opening a web page, with warmth, attention and a voice of their own, instead of a text box.

What we believe

• Presence. A good companion is there with you: listening while you speak, looking at you, answering in the moment.
• Honesty. We never present Maki as a person. Trust starts with knowing who you are talking to.
• Warmth without hooks. We want conversations you enjoy, not a habit you cannot put down.
• Simplicity. No download, no setup. Open a page, say hello.

Meet Maki

Maki is Lapwing’s first character: an anime-style 3D AI companion with silver hair who talks with you by voice. She listens, answers out loud, and moves as she speaks. Maki is an AI, not a person. No one speaks for her.
